ÆTHR Launches Trust Layer for Automotive Inventory Data
The platform addresses a common problem in automotive retail, where the same vehicle can show different prices and details from one system to the next
DALLAS, Oct. 1, 2026 — ÆTHR today launched a trust layer for automotive inventory data, a platform that checks vehicle records for errors before they reach dealer websites and advertising systems. Automakers, agencies and technology partners get one consistent record for each vehicle, and price or availability changes arrive as they happen instead of with the next scheduled feed.
"Most inventory tools assume the data they receive is right, and very few check," said Michael Cirillo, CEO of ÆTHR. "ÆTHR doesn't try to own the truth about a vehicle. Its job is to make sure the data record about that vehicle is independently verified, standardized and accurate everywhere it goes."
A vehicle does not change as its information moves between systems, but its record often does. Each handoff between the automaker, dealer software, websites and ad platforms can introduce a missing attribute or a stale price, and one bad record can spread everywhere downstream. The cost can show up as wasted ad spend and co-op dollars put at risk. In Lotlinx's 2026 Inventory Health Survey of U.S. dealers, nearly 87% of respondents reported some degree of technology platform fatigue from managing inventory across disconnected systems.
"Data quality matters tremendously when you’re building intelligence for dealership sales teams," said Colby Joyner, chief operating officer of HeyGreenlight. "ÆTHR gives HeyGreenlight clean, structured inventory data that we can trust, so we know what a dealer actually has available and can connect that information to the customer and the conversation happening in real time. That allows HeyG to provide more relevant context, stronger recommendations, and better support for the person talking to the customer. ÆTHR handles the inventory data foundation exceptionally well, which lets us focus on making that data actionable."
ÆTHR sits between inventory sources and the systems that depend on them. It puts records from different sources into a common format and checks them for missing or conflicting information before they spread. It can also add vehicle detail and apply standards set by the organization that governs a network, such as an automaker's requirements for its dealers. Its normalization logic reflects more than 15 years of development in live production environments.
The approach replaces the file-based cycle of exporting, transferring and importing inventory with one built on inventory events. For automakers, that means setting inventory standards once and applying them across dealer and partner systems without controlling every endpoint. Agencies get consistent data for campaigns and reporting. Technology partners can act on a sale or a price change right away.
ÆTHR is available beginning today to automakers, agencies, dealers and technology partners. Details and access requests are at https://www.theaethr.ai.
About ÆTHR
ÆTHR is a trust layer for automotive inventory data. The platform sits between inventory sources and the automakers, agencies, dealers and technology providers that rely on them. It standardizes and validates each vehicle record so the vehicle is represented the same way wherever its data travels. Connected systems receive inventory changes as they happen rather than on a feed schedule. ÆTHR works alongside the systems companies already use, so nothing has to be replaced.
